Hello World,

Here at Mail2World, it is up to our customers to decide on what their password requirements are. Free users are only required to have a password consisting of six characters but we always encourage them to use more. The more characters and character classes that are employed the more difficult it becomes for a hacker to break in.
The other issue to consider when discussing passwords is password encryption. Encrypted passwords are hidden text sent to the server while non-encrypted passwords are sent as clear, readable text. Any user who accesses their Mail2World account via a secure connection will have their passwords encrypted automatically. On Mail2World.com, simply select the secure option right below the domain name in the login area.
Below are 5 tips to a secure password:
- Use different character classes. Different character classes are combination of letters, numbers, and symbols that will ensure that password will never be compromised.
- Use 8-10 character passwords. Passwords with long character strings will ensure the password is never compromised because there are too many character combinations.
- Use a secure connection. Using a secure connection (SSL) will ensure passwords are always encrypted.
- Use more than one word passwords. One word passwords are easy to break and there are programs that can run through thousands of word possibilities within a few minutes.
- Change passwords regularly. Changing passwords on a regular schedule will help your email account be “For your eyes only.”
