Hello World,

Here at Mail2World, we love blogging, sharing useful information and interacting with our readers. Did you know, you could do the same using a blogging feature built right into the Mail2World email interface? The blogging feature allows you to publish anything you want without ever having to leave the comforts of your Mail2World email account.

The Internet is filled with blogs about everything you can think of, from herbal medicine to consumer technology. What the Internet doesn’t have is a blog that is uniquely YOU! So go ahead and click on the Blog icon (the one that looks like a “b”) and start your blog. Share your thoughts and ideas with the world. Below is some information that can help setup your blog and begin you first post.

1. Click on the Blog icon in the top navigation bar.

 

2. Click on Blog Settings under Public Blog settings

• Ensure that the Enable Blog checkbox is checked.
• Give your blog a title, tagline, and description.
• Choose a template (Only choose custom template if you are comfortable coding the look of your blog using CSS).
• You have the option to allow comments and notifications.
• Click Save.

3. Compose your first blog article. Give the post a title and have at it, the compose interface should look almost identical to the one in the email interface.

 

Each blog will have a unique URL based on the email account it’s coming from.  For the sake of this example the URL is http://mail.mail2world.net/Blog/blog@mail2world.net.

Email Headers Made Easy

Hello World,

Mail2World’s support staff receives lots of inquiries asking us why messages are sometimes delayed, why some email addresses are being used by others to send spam, and when a particular message is sent. The answers to these questions are all available within the message if the user can find and read the email headers.

Click on the Hide/Display Header link in the upper-right side of the message viewing area to display the headers.

 

 When headers are displayed, the message will look like the image below:

Here is a closer look at the header information:

1. Let’s look at the message header from the bottom up.
2. You can ignore the description which includes the To, From, and the Subject lines.
3. All received lines show where the message traveled. This particular message traveled from 87.235.225.105, the ip address it came from by the server called mx1.free.fr  on Tuesday, 2 Aug 2011 at 12:52:50 (UTC Time).
4. Next the message was received by received: from static-105-225-235-87.ipcom.comunitel.net, the ip address it came from by the server called by c9mailgw15.amadis.com on Tuesday, Aug 2 2011 at 1:06:00 pm (UTC Time).
5. Finally, the message was received from ip address 216.163.188.204, the ip address by Example.4u.mail2world.com (Actual name removed for security reasons), the Mail2World server. The exact time and date stamp is Tuesday, 2 Aug 2011 1:06:15 PM (UTC Time).

Once you find the original sending server, you have found where the message originated from. You will be able to tell the date, time it was sent and the reason behind any possible delays. If you need to contact support for any further assistance please be sure to include all header information and any failure notifications that you may have received so that our team can provide you with the best possible support.

Note: You can cut & paste your header information into this Header Analyzer tool in order to easily identify any time or server delays.
